“ Hy Party Time” AQHA Registered 6YO QH Sorrel Mare For Sale “Cricket” is offered for sale, through no fault of her own. Due to family health reasons I am offering one of my personal horses for sale. She is a Granddaughter of Grey’s Starlight. Smart Little Lena, Freckles Playboy and Colonel Freckles are just a few names on her papers. Cricket is 14.3 hands. She has never taken a lame step. She is a light cribber but with her miracle collar on, she won’t crib. This mare is super smart. Her parents were NCHA $$ earners. I bought her as a 5 YO from another trainer. She was started as a 2YO, and ridden until she turned 3. When the previous owner fell ill, she was bred and put out to pasture until I bought her two years later. She is a proven, wonderful broodmare. She only had 1 foal. Her beautiful filly is currently a 2 YO in reining training and has her mom’s quick and catty athletic ability. I have used her to push and pen cattle. She can go any directions: Reining/ Sorting/ Roping / Ranch / Penning selling as prospect for an experienced, light handed, quiet rider who could put the time into finishing her. I last took her to a dressage clinic with a 4th level rider and L-rated judge clinician who said she was a wonderful mare with loads of potential. My intentions when I bought her were to get her in the cutting and/or sorting pen, but unfortunately due to client horses and family health, she has gotten the back burner. She has currently been off for 45 days. She wouldn’t take much to get to the pen; she just needs to be refined on cows of what she already knows. This mare really loves to work and needs to stay in a working environment where she thrives. She has a lot of heart and once she bonds with you will do anything you ask. She will long trot all day, can be fresh when given time off but nothing stupid. This mare is not for a beginner or intermediate rider as she does have a lot of fire and grit to her. She will bend at the poll. Very soft in the face. Will walk/trot/lope both directions. Will back up with ease and roll back the other direction every time. She is UTD on shots/coggins/worming/teeth float. She is the alpha mare in my herd but isn’t overbearing. Comes with miracle collar. Only for sale to a good, working home. My loss is your gain.
