I AM Mark 14:58 “We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.” After several false witnesses appeared on the scene; none of which agreed together, one came saying, “We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.” Of course they totally misinterpreted the meaning of His declaration by applying it to Herod’s Temple; He meant His body. They used this as evidence to condemn Him; for to destroy a place of worship was a capital offence. The High Priest exploited the situation and demanded an answer from Jesus; this is when the solid truth indicted him in their estimation. Jesus replied concerning His identity, “ And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” He claimed to be God, the Messiah, Saviour of the World, and Israel’s King! Jesus died because He told the truth! He died because they would not accept the facts but chose to misinterpret the veracity of His identity and purpose. Today, nothing has changed. Jesus is the virgin born Son of God, God (Jehovah) in the flesh, the mighty God, the everlasting Father. He came to die as the perfect and only sacrifice for the complete expiation of sin. If Jesus was not God there was no perfect and complete sacrifice for sin, for there is “none good but God.” Therefore, if Jesus was not Jehovah in the flesh there is no salvation for mankind. But, He was God manifested in the flesh, therefore we are saved by His grace by faith in Him; it is true! To misinterpret this cardinal truth is fatal; it is spiritual suicide that results in a death in hell, forever! Pastor Wilson 3-14-2014
