I.C.A.R.E. Network We are courtesy posting this heartfelt plea for a sweet, 7 year old Shepherd named Nobile. He is in need of a loving forever home or reputable rescue in the TX area. Contact info is below. Please share this sweet boy - you never know who may see his photo and fall in love. :D "I am writing you about at GSD named Nobile. Nobile was turned into BARC animal shelter in Houston, Texas a few days ago as an OTI due to that they could no longer afford to keep him. Houston GSD rescues are full and Nobile was set to be PTS Thursday, June 20th. I know every dog cannot be saved but something about this one was really tugging at my heart strings, so with some help, he was pulled from the shelter. Nobile has already been to the vet, he is extremely underweight and high HW +, has a skin and ear infection. He is on antibiotic for the skin infection and we have already started the slow HW treatment method using the advantage multi. After his infection is all cleared up and he is at a healthy weight, I will discuss the fast kill being an option at that time. Good news is, skin scrapings for mange came back negative and his hips look really good, so over all, he will be a healthy boy in no time. Although his shelter card listed him as 7, he has some very white teeth and the vet puts him closer to 5. Nobile has a really amazing disposition and temperament! He does great with the other dogs his size and even gets along well with cats. (has not been TT with small dogs yet, so evaluation pending on that) He loves people and loves attention. He listens well, looks for instruction, comes when you call him and loves to play with the other dogs but also will rest and relax when playtime is over. I do not want to jump the gun and say he is potty trained, but he has yet to have an accident indoors. I am looking for rescue for this magnificent boy. Houston rescues are all full at the moment but my main goal is to be able to get him with a rescue somewhere if anyone has room for this sweet guy. I want to insure he never ends back up in the situation he came out of and with the reference checks as well as home visits and the ability to match the right dog to the right adopter, I know rescue is the way to go for this boy to insure the rest of his life is a great life!! My main goal is to find a rescue willing to help Nobile and I insure the best possible future for him. If you are willing or able to help Nobile and I, we will be so grateful and appreciative. He is one amazing boy that I hope will know what it feels like to be loved by his very own family for all of his future days to come.
