I CANNOT WAIT to take the Leisure Learning Class on Roberts Rules in Houston, Texas August 25, 2014 Monday 6:20 pm - 9:35 pm. (There may be something in your area similar, books, other classes, etc.). If you are unsure what that means, when you watch the video, you will notice that there is a certain way one can engage in questions, answers, and debate (motions, committee, and membership meetings, etc.). These RULES are similar understanding the rules found in any sport. We know that if it wasnt for the RULES everyone would either be just chasing a ball, or a puck with no way to keep score, document penalties, and ultimately to win the game. Since there are few women in congressional seats, how can women and girls like you and I oversee what is going on in the game of politics?? This was a GREAT example of how complicated it can be and why its important to know it. People viewing may see it as a bunch of BANTER, but that BANTER is discussing those political effects that will DIRECTLY AFFECT ALL OF US. How can we monitor their actions, if we dont know the rules? Im just getting familiar with Roberts Rules and I hope you join me in learning about it. I have seen a few congressional meetings on TV and sat in at the Texas Senate Galleries & the Texas House of Representatives Galleries and I felt lost... but even I knew that they were not being fair, and even I knew that something was just not right. #TimeToLearnRobertsRules #JoinIn #ShareWhatYouLearnWithMeToo #TexasWomenRise
