I DONT FEEL SORRY BECAUSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED TALKING - TopicsExpress

I DONT FEEL SORRY BECAUSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE IN AUTHORITY: I know quite a few people will not agree with me when I say this and Im so sorry if I offend somebody when I say this and I am open to comments after I say this but it is heavy on my chest for me to say this. I feel personally that yes the Navy Officer that shot his bosses yesterday was wrong and I do sympathize with them and I do apologize for what happen. However, what happen to make this person snap? I personally feel there is more to this story other than the officer was crazy. This situation seems like a case of workplace harassment. If this is true I can honestly understand why the Officer felt this was his only way of being heard. I do feel sorry for the young lady who killed herself due to school bullying. There were some serious warning signs and just like in the workplace nobody but the girl’s parents took the time to try to prevent the problem. Im going to be honest and tell you all the reason I left Cargill I was a victim of workplace harassment in which it was reported to management and HR and they did nothing to stop the issue. I was forced to resign because of problem because it had started to affect my personal life in which how I was with my daughter in which how I was taking my anger out on her for something somebody at work had done. It’s sad that when we get hired for these jobs that we sign a piece of paper at work saying we will not tolerate the behavior of creating a hostile work environment however its being condone. It’s sad that human resource says they have an open door policy or let’s talk about it however, the policy really mean yes it’s an open door policy to talk about your business to others or yes lets’ talk about your problems to other folk. I understand we are all human however when you’re in position of Authority you should be held to a higher standard and it appears that in some cases not all situations that instead of people doing the right thing and being strictly by the rules and regulations that are set by the company. You have members of management who just because simply they don’t like someone they do whatever is in their power to get rid of them. It’s not because of the fact the person did something wrong, it’s simply personal. The person could be the best employee come to work on time do their work not wanting to be bothered and simply because the manager doesn’t like them for some reason they out the door. Not thinking about the person’s family or what they have going on in their life but because the manager is in an Authoritative figure they feel they have the right to interrupt someone’s livelihood with no remorse. I’m not a racist by any means but if you have worked in a warehouse or some type of manual labor facility have notice that the supervisor is black and the manger is white? This is where I say the Uncle Tom crab mentality comes in. You have quite a few black people in supervisor roles and because they feel maybe threaten by you that they don’t want to see you come up the ranks. They are scared you going to take what little they have or do much better than them. What they don’t realize it’s enough out here for everybody and not everybody want what you got. These supervisors will help the white man to the end to make sure your gone but when the shit hits the fans these same white folk will sell you out and guess what no matter how much another white person doesn’t like a another white person one thing white people will do is stick together which we as blacks will not do and they will sell us blacks out at the drop of a dime if it’s them verses you. However, us a blacks too quick to go snitch and do whatever they can to see us fall not realizing it could easily be them. I know of a supervisor right now at Cargill when he was a regular employee the other employees use to talk about him because his size saying he got plumbers crack and now he is a supervisor they gave him a title and he selling out the employees who just want to work. Instead of trying to fix the problems he condones it and says he didn’t know. I hate to say it for supervisors like this one when shit hits the fans you deserve whatever they give you. People in Authority figure needs to start taking complaints seriously because situations similar to the one at the Navy Base could easily happen at your place of employment. You never know what a person mind set is you never know what a person is going through and for you all the behavior once you are notified about it you should try to fix it. I know warehouses and manufacturing plants are not just that big that you people don’t know what’s going on to a point in which they can’t fix it. It’s sad that you say you don’t know however, even if you hear it in passing or however you find out it’s your job to try to correct or prevent the issues from continuing on. The 1st thing a person wants to say when a person start shooting up a job or a school or if they kill themselves is that they were crazy or disgruntled instead of well we tried to prevent it. I haven’t seen too many situations in which someone goes beyond the call to prevent actions like the ones that recently have gotten news coverage.
