I Feel Like Painting By Carmen To I feel like painting what I have seen in the street I especially favour those dark old alleys Get ready with my brushes and paints I start to draw on an invisible canvas And I hope my audience find something funny The first stroke goes to a man who sits on a trolley He is talking on the phone Inside a metal cage made of chain-like fences He turns his weary eyes away from one side He leads me to look towards another This is where I start my second part of my painting Where there is a security guard standing With his arms folding He is not looking at the tired man But his gesture seems to say It’s okay to keep the door of the cage open Because I am standing at the best place to guard over it Without any sign of a smile on his face I think he is very interesting He looks at us as if we are all insane To make a change, I deliberately take off his uniform with my paints He is all picnicking and screaming, “Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” Now, I am laughing Aren’t we all the same?
