I HAVE NEVER HAD ANYONE TO LOVE ME; I HAVE GROWN UP ALL ALONE. TODAY, THEY TOLD ME I HAVE CANCER… Born on the street, without an owner to love me, I have had to fight to survive with every passing day. Scavenging for food and trying to find shelter at night, I became seriously ill. My name is Barber. I am just 4 years old. I was suffering a lot when I was picked up by a man called Khun Jaroon. He is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog. He could see I had a large tumour and took me straight to the vets at the shelter. They have told me I have something called TVT – a type of cancer that is easily spread among us street dogs. They say I will get some strong medication called chemotherapy. I hope I will get better… It is only thanks to some kind Soi Dog supporters that I am now here and being treated. Their regular donations meant I could be picked up and helped. I have a chance to get better now; there would be no hope without these supporters. There are many other sick dogs in my situation. They won’t make it without help and it is only YOU who can help them. YOU can save their lives and give them a second chance.
