I Haven’t Forgotten and Neither Should You I recently received a prophetic word with regard to the original call and vision on my life that the Lord placed on my heart 40 years ago. Wow! The person that shared it with me isn’t even close to 40 years old. Needless to say, it really fired up and fueled that call and vision even more. Interestingly enough, that vision lately has been more prominent in my heart. I really do like how the Lord my God is saying to me, “I haven’t forgotten the vision and neither should you”. Hmm. How would that person know what they shared with me seeing that I hadn’t ever discussed those things with them? 1Cor.12:4-11 answers that question. Those gifts still are for today and truly are for the edifying (building up) of the others. To top it all off, prior to my meeting with that person I had already chosen to share Jared Nieman’s powerful and very practical teaching on “Godly Vision” this evening at our NexGen College/Career gathering. Without doubt, I am not only excited and encouraged by all this, but even more impressed to hone in on the vision, guard it, and speak it. Oh by the way, I received a call a little over a year ago by this very person who said they had a word to share with me. Now I don’t live my life by every so-called “word” someone has for me, but I will test all things. Well, the word that they shared with me at that time came to pass exactly as they said it would and it has blessed not only me, but our entire congregation. So, I do listen when that person speaks. What vision in your heart has the Lord placed there and yet seems so long and so slow in coming to pass? Remember that He hasn’t forgotten it and neither should you. Hab 2:3 – “…It [the vision] may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.” [TEV] I truly am excited about this evening’s NexGen gathering. Another opportunity to “water the seed” and watch it release what’s been placed inside it. I believe that will be that case for those attending, as well.
