I LOVE rainbows!!! Just one part of Gods handiwork I love to see. Isnt it nice to see the sun shining yet a slight drizzle of rain at the same time, thereby producing a glorious rainbow? (A rainbow is caused by both reflection and refraction of light in water droplets in Earths atmosphere, resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky in the form of a multicoloured arc.) This brings me to one of my favorite quotes If you want to see the rainbow, you have to put up with the rain! Thats just how it is in life, we can experience great moments(the sunshine) in the midst of trials (the rain) and they both work together to produce or pull out of us the good stuff (rainbow). That spectrum of of light being reflected and refracted in and off of us is God at work in us. We face trials and triumphs and sometimes we may ask God why? We need the rain just as much as we need the sunshine so that we can grow, become stronger and wiser. Most plants cant bloom and flourish with sunshine only, they need both the sunlight and the raindrops to help them along the way. So lets not despise those moments or even seasons when we have to face trials, temptations and storms. Likewise lets not take for granted the moments of peace, triumphs and victories. We can be confident in the knowledge that it will ALL work together for our good. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. (James 1:2-4) Whether it be the rain or sunshine, remember that the patience, love, endurance, peace, blessings which are produced in these moments come together in all of us to produce a multicolored rainbow of awesomeness! Rainbows are also reminders to us of Gods love and glory shining upon us! Genesis 9:12-13 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
