I Need You Now by Eddie Fisher hit No. 1 on the charts 60 years ago today (11/13/1954). In the first half of the 1950s he sold more single records than any other artist. Hes been married five time. His first wife was Debbie Reynolds (Singing In The Rain, Tammy and the Bachelor) and they had two kids: Carrie Fisher who was Star Wars Princess Lela and Todd Fisher who worked in theater, movies and television. His econd wife was Elizabeth Taylor (Butterfield 8, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof). No kids there. His third wife was Connie Stevens who had a successful career in music, movies and television most noticeably the series Hawaiian Eye. They had two kids Joely Fisher who played Paige on Ellen amd Tricia Fisher who appeared in a number of B films. And then he had three more wives the last who who stayed with until her death in 2001.
