I, Paul Castro will longer be the President and I want introduce Jose Juarez as the acting President of the Porterville Cougars Youth Football League beginning 8/11/14. Joe has been with program since 2006 and has given so much of his time to help run the program. I consider Joe to be my friend and I am pleased to know the program is in good hands. Before I leave I want to thank several current Board members and Coaches, Secretary Ann Marie Wallace, Cheer Coordinator Solidad Zuniga, Equipment Manager Asia Thao, Larry Duran, Joe Juarez, Justen Pugh, Adelaido Duran, Ben Rodriguez, Carlito Daguman and Robert Miranda. Id like to also give many thanks to past members and coaches, former President Gus Rodriguez, Tanya Strange, Mona Lisa Baeza, Lisa Martin, Roseanne Huston, Candy Blas, Brittany Romero, Tina Floyd, Sam Chavez, Jimmy Garcia, Les Duran, Rick Stewart and Carlos Martinez. These are people whom I had the opportunity to work with, they and their families put their hearts and souls into the program to be the competitive and a successful program we now have. I also want to point out to two individual players Benjamen Rodriguez and Larry Duran, both have been with program since the beginning, I admire their commitment, their character and how they represent the Cougar program on and off the field. This will be the last year for Benjamin as a Cougar Player. Parents show your support by uniting together and volunteering your time. I love this program and only wish it much success. I want to thank everyone for allowing me to be your President.
