I actually shed a tear reading this. Its unbelievable how broken our people in this country really are which cannot be fixed with a band aid. Theres a lot of healing in this country to be done. As of the next election Im going to register and vote for the first time. I never cared for registering in the first place and of course that makes me illegal. That was my choice, my Rangatiratanga and if I got locked up by the crown for it than so be it. By the next election, I will be 40 and after meeting up with Tama Iti and suggesting that I should vote for the Maori party would have been the wrong idea because they dodged the media circus. As for the right, centre and left was a joke. Thats the reason why I dont vote and thats the reason I dont register. Policies over the years have been nothing but a joke...lies and deception and the only ones that suffer are those that find it hard to live, to house and feed their families. Hone is the closest to the ideals that I also hold true to and I have witnessed every other party piggybacking off his policies. So Hone has been hard done by and shame on the rest of them that capitalized on Manas loss to be an effective opposition or supporting government ally. Well, thats my rant for the year after reading this and I will still get my butt out there and protest knowing Mana is usually the movement that is always supporting nearly every important protest so far, yet where are the rest of these political parties when the people need support...anyway...Hone, you have my vote next time round...my very first one.
