I affirmed here yesterday that might is right, and few hours later I was at a party - largely attended by MEN only - where a friend introduced me to a new comer as the biggest DADA amongst us men !! I suppose he was recalling this incident - some years ago an employee working for our industrial estate had brought a goonda cum politician to our factories and this guy tried to shake us into parting with thousands each as protection money. While most thought we should agree, since discretion is the better part of valour, I disagreed and gave the employee a public tongue lashing and a warning to desist from such activities. The minor politician soon went back from where he had come. Strangely, later yesterday, this employee also appeared at the party and wished me most respectfully. He is with ANOTHER political party now, but says he will never forget my warning and do anything against the interests of his employers. He thanked me again and again for correcting him and scolding him. Was it providence reminding me that when used for the right cause at the right time, Might can be a virtue too? May be all is not lost yet.
