I almost missed it, thinking Lettermans Christmas Show would be next week. Tuned in just in time to watch, for the 20th-something year, my end of the year TV highlight, Darlene Love doing Christmas Baby Please Come Home. Paul is at his best, decked out in his polka-dot purple duds, Letterman employs a large contingent of musicians and singers for this final holiday bash. I missed the meatball and Jay Thomas doing his Lone Ranger-bit (which always brings a laugh and was substituted last year by an equally amusing Paul McEnroe doing the bit).
