I always ponder on how can we spread “asaaniyan”, which Ashfaq Ahmed talks about, without big resources. A couple of days ago I experienced something in a family function that clarified this notion a little. When I enter the venue of a function, I try to go up to every one and greet them. Last week while I was attending such an event, I somehow missed a few people. Later when I passed their tables while they were having dinner they called me themselves and greeted me. I then apologized for not greeting them earlier myself and they said: “Ohhoo, koi baat nae beta, milna he to hota hy, myn miloon ya aap kia farq parta hy.” I did not realize how at ease their reply made me till the very next day when I was attending another event at the same venue. This time again, I missed a few tables thinking they probably don’t know me (as half of the guests were from some other village). Later when event was about to end I saw one of the ladies I had missed earlier and went towards her to greet. She, before even shaking hands with me, said: “Hayee shuker hyyy, hmari bhanji ko hmaeyn salam kerna yaad aya. 3 baar tum hmarey paas sy guzri or tumhyn dekhny ki bhi taufeeq nahi hui.” I replied: “To aap mujhy bula leti na.” She said:”Hayee hum kiyun bulayen, saarey zamany ko mil leti ho hameyn aa k salam nahi dey sakti.” Allah hum sab ko hidayat dy (sab sy pehly mujhy), or apni or apny ird gird mojood logon ki zindagi asaan bananey ki taufeeq dy.
