Well its about life and death. to be uncircumcised in the day was to be seen as unclean which led to deadly consequences . if you dont keep that area clean and the area around the perineum . a really nasty disease called Fourniers Gangrene would kill you. Herod the great and his grandson Herod Agrippa are thought to have died from it.
