I am 21 and never had a girlfriend. Most of my friends are in a relationship. I feel kind of depressed and that I would never have a girlfriend. What should I do? I came across this ques on quora today. And I threw some Gyaan on the topic :3 Sharing it with you all. The answer is obviously - Get a girl. You cant live your whole life without a girl, its a fact that everyone needs a partner to live life positively and get energized in the growing age. And this answer would totally be worthless without telling you the right way to get a girl. (assuming that you are bad at wooing girls or may be too shy for it as you have not got a single girl in 21 years) These are the effective ways to get a girl, I could think of - 1) Read good books. Girls like guys with elegant literature sense, if you arent into reading serious stuff, or say, you like reading light stuff like CB or such writers, carry on with them but also stick to some classical books too side by side. Through this you can brag about your literary sense. Girls will find this different in you. 2) Read newspaper daily. Get an App of TOI or The Hindu in your smart phone and read few topics on daily basis. With this you will have so much to discuss and attract girls with your knowledge. Be a good debater , know what is happening in the world. 3) Pick up a sport. Any sport, Football, cricket, or chess. Know everything about it, try to play it. Like if choose chess , read about Grandmaster techniques of playing it, try to be good at it, Offer people to play with you, join a club. In this way you will impress her and also socialise and get more girls to interact. And remember its never late to start and get better at a particular sport. 4) Spend time with yourself, go and buy yourself a coffee someday, sit and have it alone. Respect yourself, build love for yourself, only then you can expect anyone else to like you. Give the waiter a decent tip while you are with her in a restro or even if you are alone. Be a MAN. 5) Take bath regularly, work on your hairs, wear good, try to be classy. Try to develop a good dressing sense. 6) Dont differentiate between girls and boys. Treat girls like you do to boys, dont fake things. Be real. 7) Be confident. Dont be afraid of getting a NO from her. Ask her out for a movie. 8) Be good too her. Be good to everyone. Learn manners. Throw your trash in the dustbin or the trashcan, Be a good citizen first, then try to be something else. And the most important thing is never ever lose hope. If all this is useless, dont worry . Repeat again . It my be late but your girl would surely get to you in most unexpected ways. -Gaurav
