I am Ahmed Merabet. This is a man who put his life in danger and was ultimately executed protecting people whose only purpose was to come to work every day and completely humiliate his religion in the most offensive and disgusting manner. Basically, he protected people whose only purpose was to create hate speech towards everything in which he believed. THAT is tolerance. Drawing disgusting cartoons purposefully to piss people off is not noble, its a childish abuse of freedom of speech that made people money and has ended in tragedy. Charlie Hebdo is a piece of shit paper that makes money from inciting anger and hostility. Ill save my sorrow for the people who worked there (who didnt spend their time creating what was offensive) and the cops who had to be stationed outside the paper permanently to protect hate speech. I am disgusted that people would rally around this as a freedom of speech issue.
