I am FURIOUS! Casa Village hadnt called me with regard to their insurance information so I called them this morning to get their insurance information. The gal I spoke to (who refused to give me her name) said that they had determined that their tractor hitting me while I was parked in the parking area was not their fault--that they had no liability for the destruction of my drivers side door and would not be sharing their insurance information with me. I dont understand how a company can operate so blatantly dishonorably, but she actually lied and told me that the police officer THEIR maintenance man called to report the accident said he was not at fault. 1. I called the police--not their tractor driver--he yelled at me for not knowing he was sweeping the parking area after plowing into me while I gathered my purse to exit the car. 2. The officer who responded was sympathetic to me and said that since it was private property he would not cite anyone or determine fault, although acknowledging that the tractor driver backed into me. He did NOT say that it was nobodys fault. 3. The family I was visiting was outside and watched the entire event occur. I realize a company has to be cautious with regard to liability, but to outright lie, evade and accuse, is really, really poor judgement and terrible business practice. I am so appalled! If you feel at all interested in helping me obtain justice, please call Casa Village and let them know that arbitrarily deciding they are not at fault and declining to participate in the justice procedure is unacceptable in a Billings Business.
