AT THE TABLE OF LIFE (PART 1) “There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel – that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 Good morning family! Pinch yourself to be sure you are alive. Any pains? That is a miracle because you are already at the Table of Life. Welcome!!! Now, imagine you had a full scholarship to pursue a Phd in an American University with a lucrative teaching contract. You’ve signed the contract and all paper works and the University can’t wait to have you. They keep calling and communicating with you each week to schedule teaching hours and other appointments. You are cork sure that you have a foot already in the USA. How will you feel and what will you ask God if life still finds a way to prevent you from going? At the table, I asked God why this betrayal? I spend all my time serving you and this is how you reward me? But when God helped me to find His REASON in my MISERY, I was at peace with myself and that is why this is a side of my story many people do not know. Because I still laugh, I am happy and I am more closer to God than ever. God asked me a couple of questions I want to share with you. You just started a Ministry for me which is barely on its feet, who will make it fly for me? Have you trained someone to take over from you in Church when you go? And have you asked Me if this is in My ultimate plan for your life and do you think this is the best time to go? I was sober and realised the mistake we mostly make. We make our plans and ask God to fit His plans into ours. See each setback as an opportunity to sit up and plan again but this time with God. Ask yourself a lot of questions and think through your failure again, you will find God’s REASON in life’s TREASON. Let’s hold our hands and share a word of prayer for this breakfast. Heavenly father we thank you for this food and the gift of life, grant us the Spirit of Discernment to always see Your REASON in what seems to be life’s TREASON.
