I am Hafsa Arif from Pakistan and I #SupportGaza not because I am a Muslim but ONLY because Im human, and no human being should ever have to live in the conditions that Palestinians are forced to live under!! My posting that wont save any lives, end any conflicts, or make it onto the news tonight. But in a world lined too often with indifference, it will align me with the growing body of peace-seekers. I support those living in existences of fear and violence in Gaza right now, I support those who have lost their homes, their families, and their entire lives; I support those providing them with medical care; and I support those clamoring for peace in Palestine, and in countless corners all across the globe. I support every heart that has felt a little bit of pain on Facebook this week, every soul that’s felt a dose of empathy this week, and every mind that’s been inclined to ask why, to ask how, and to – even just for a moment – wish this insanity would stop. I support all those and thats why Im posting this. Not because its going to change everything overnight but because too often this insanity makes us feel helpless. And in those moments, its important to remember that there’s a difference between HELPLESSNESS and HOPELESSNESS. At the end of the day, in spite of it all, we still care. We are not yet hopeless. And that still counts for something, RIGHT?
