I am SO glad the US Government has a billion dollars to spend on a new way to burn kerosene at an unprecedented rate and occasionally blow up cities. If money alone could win wars, the US would never lose. But somehow, despite outspending all the other countries with big militarys put together, the US has not really won a war in over 50 years. We are pretty much 0 for 3 in living memory. Why is that? How can it be with outspending the rest of the world combined we still dont win? Ask the officers and they will give a speech about how todays recruits just dont measure up, just as they said in the 60s about the baby boom. A simpler explanation would focus blame on those who make the plans and give the orders: maybe the Officers Themselves are Corrupt and Incompetent from the top to the bottom, and united only in their shared desire that none of them should ever go on trial for War Crimes, Torture, and Fraud, or lose their pension. After all, anyone with more lofty principles than that has been weeded out of every government job systematically for decades. There is nothing left up there but smooth talking stuffed shirts who dont give a f**k.
