I am a truly blessed man. You see, today is the last day my wife will work at Citibank. How is that lucky? Well, 16 years ago, while going through one of the hardest times of my life, I saw a pretty blonde walk by the desk where I was sitting, well, she didnt walk by, she kind of hobbled by because she was using crutches and had a purple cast on her leg. I stood up to check her out and as I did, she turned back and busted me big time! My life forever changed for the better in that one moment. We have been through deaths, not having enough money, disabilities, and losing everything we had in a fire. But, we always came out on the other side stronger and better than we did before. We found God again. Everything about her has made me a better man. And with all of that, I have never been more proud of her than I am this morning. You see, when they told her that her job was eliminated, she was rightly upset, angry, sad and all of the other emotions you would imagine. But, instead of getting bitter, she has held her head high. She has gone to work every day and given it her all. She has finished this race with dignity, class and honor that few of us could muster. She has acted like a true Huck. So, today I chose not to look at the negatives. I remember the positives of what this past chapter of our lives has given us. And I look forward to this next chapter knowing that I have the best wife a man could have. I guess God wants her to have more time to polish her diamond in the rough. I Love You, Michelle Goodhew
