I am about to drive through St Louis... and believe me, I wont get closer than I have to. I am glad I found this via Eric because like Eric, I agree with this man, but its better coming from him than me for obvious reasons. I am pretty much a black and white person on many matters, but race isnt one of them. I am definitely brownish grey with a tint of yellow cause I dont care about your skin, just your character. Treat me with respect, you get it back, no problem. I realize there are many very racist people in the world. Many are raised to be that way, and its a shame. They have an inner hatred for another race for no personal reason other than, thats how I was raised to believe. Well guess what, God gave each of us a brain, use it!! I also believe that the black community hasnt helped themselves with their own labeling. The Negro College Fund, Black Entertainment Network, Black Singles dating site, back in the day it was Black and Proud on tee shirts, many groups or agendas aimed at separating the races. A white person brought up racist would automatically be angered, based on what he was taught. There were all black colleges, groups, etc and I am not saying any of those are or were wrong, but it continued the cycle of racism of separation. One thing I will say though, that Charles touches on, perception is often taught, not learned from personal experience. Each individual should be raised without bias, without handed down perceptions. The world is evolving every day, we all need to change with it, not resist it.
