I am ashamed. Today, I bury my head in shame as a northerner for what is happening in my beloved region. I feel extremely ashamed that my country home has been turned into an abattoir for the killings of not animals, but the killings of innocent brothers by the agent of death. I am more shamed for the insensitivity of our leaders in the north who believed that the ambition for electoral victory in 2015 is more important than the blood of our innocent brothers. I am a living witness as to how Lagos State Citizens rose up through the OPC to counter armed robbery insurgents. I am a living witness as to how our brothers in the East tackled social insecurity in the region through the coming together of Bakasi and Egbesu Boys. I am bewildered by the fact that our leaders’ attention is focused on 2015 elections while our brothers are daily taken to the slaughter house like animals. Don Allah, even animals do not deserve to be killed like this. Allah ina roƙonka ka cece mu daga mugayen shugabannin, da kowace rana burinsu chutar da talakawa. I am ashamed.
