I am back (Not like the Terminator though). In my last right up to show at what age the people of Old get married, we took a journey through the Old Testament and the Torah and we saw how Rebbecca married Isaac at the age of three. Today we will come a bit closer to our time, and this time, the dice spell the name Mary Mother of Jesus. But before we start, I would like us to define a very important term: Apocrypha. The word Apocrypha simply means hidden, denoting hidden Gospels of the Bible (Dont ask me why they are hidden), in its singular form its apocryphan. It has its origin in the Greek language, from the words Apo which means away and Krytein which means to hide, hence we can say the word means Hidden Away. The Catholic Encyclopedia says: “When forty years of age, Joseph married a woman called Melcha or Escha by some, Salome by others; they lived forty-nine years together and had six children, two daughters and four sons, the youngest of whom was James (the Less, “the Lord’s brother”). A year after his wife’s death, as the priests announced through Judea that they wished to find in the tribe of Juda a respectable man to espouse Mary, then twelve to fourteen years of age. Joseph, who was at the time ninety years old, went up to Jerusalem among the candidates; a miracle manifested the choice God had made of Joseph, and two years later the Annunciation took place.” We could clearly see that Joseph was 90 years old while Marys age was placed between 12 and 14. Again from the Catholic Encyclopedia, under the story of Joseph we have this: Now when righteous Joseph became a widower, my mother Mary, blessed, holy, and pure, was already twelve years old. For her parents offered her in the temple when she was three years of age, and she remained in the temple of the Lord nine years........And after the holy virgin had spent two years in his house her age was exactly fourteen years. The Infancy Gospel of James, who is known as James the Just or James The Brother of the Lord (Because he was the brother of Jesus) by St Paul, made mention of the fact that she was 12 years of age in chapter Nine. Now, again I ask. Would you label God a child molester for making a young girl of the age of 12 Pregnant? And putting into consideration that her son is god, isnt that going to be as Fela put it double wahala? 1) God made her pregnant at the age of 12 = Child molestation 2) God is her son = Incest Sigh, I need to take another sip here.
