I am convinced that these people rioting in the streets of Ferguson, MO are not looking for justice, they are looking for an excuse. An excuse to tear up a town, loot and destroy the hard work and property of others and to generally act without any regard or self-control. Martin Luther King, Jr. changed the entire civil rights landscape for the nation with peaceful protests, drive, determination and commitment to right that which was wrong. Youre telling me that in one town, in one state, you cannot affect change without destroying the place? Youre telling me that you trying to right a perceived wrong requires the violent measures being taken? Youre telling me that your cause is so just that it justifies violating the rights, the work and effort of others? If so, then I assert, your cause and motivations are not so just, nor honorable and that you are simply piggybacking on a tragedy for your own gain and your own interests. If you wish to change what you perceive to be a wrong, then you first have to be different, better than that wrong, not duplicate and escalate the actions or situation you want to change.
