I am currently rereading Lin Yutangs The Wisdom of Confucius, one of my indispensable books. Over the years I have come to think of Confucianism and Taoism together as a complete philosophy, and there is little doubt that what might be called classical theism can be found in such texts as The Doctrine of the Mean, the book of Mencius, and the Tao Te Ching. Its a matter of knowing what to look for.
