I am excited to announce that Bray Park State School and Dayboro State School are amongst 300 Queensland schools who will have a Master Teacher appointed in 2015. Rather than working directly with children in the classroom, Master teachers will work with teachers to analyse student data, develop and implement new strategies and enhance teacher practice. They will help the schools to embed literacy and numeracy learning across the curriculum, provide coaching and guidance for teachers in the classroom, and align teacher professional development with student needs. Bray Park State School and Dayboro State School will also receive a resource package of up to $75,000 over the next three years to support early literacy and numeracy learning. Our government is delivering on our commitment to boost student outcomes by providing teachers with professional development opportunities and additional resources.
