I am going back to my country and folk roots, no more shaking the walls with Led Zep, long story, call it an experiment. In my travels through my music collection and that of Youtube, I I found the following items. All of them have one thing in common, either the songwriter or the performer died way, way before their time. All of these are classics for one reason or another, and are worth a listen. I am starting with Keith Whitley because his talent was massive and his life was cut short like so many others. Rod Stewart & Ron Wood - Reason to Believe (seated and unplugged) https://youtube/watch?v=7ii93UysVSY Very funny first minute, great lyrics....by Tim Hardin Also written by Tim Hardin, cover by Robert Plant which is wonderful compared to the duet by Johnny and June Carter Cash (the version I grew up hearing a thousand times) https://youtube/watch?v=UINidbbvGFM Patsy Cline - Crazy Perfection. Surely, one of the best ballads ever written (by Willie Nelson, no less) - and sung. 1961.Willie Nelson once joked that the title of this song was going to be Stupid https://youtube/watch?v=6QEDb3xzdec
