I am going on a rant here so if you arent inclined to read negativity and pissiness today please scroll on. Those of you who know me well know that my husband and I own the Cicis on Youree Drive. If you did not know this, you do now. My husband, Keith Bass, strives to make everything in and about that place positive. Unfortunately, because we live in the world we do today, there are some store policies that just plain SUCK. They suck because they make honest people have to follow rules that are made because of the not so honest people. The policy in question today is this. When a person comes in Cicis to sit, they MUST pay for a buffet. Why? Because once a person or people say they arent going to eat, they get lost in the crowd and the next thing you know they ARE eating. Cicis employees have more to do than just watch people to see if they are eating or not. Do most normal people say they arent eating and then eat. Absolutely not but we, as owners, must have a blanket policy. It cant be for just the people we THINK are going to steal. With all that being said, an issue occurred today with someone I know. Things werent handled the way Keith would have handled them had he been there but he wasnt and the staff handled it the way they thought it should have been handled. Regardless of how it was handled, it is NEVER good to go on facebook and BASH a place of business because of their policies. A rule is a rule period. Are there exceptions to rules? Of course but if the rule maker isnt available employees must follow what they have been told. Now....some of my FB friends commented on this persons post with some very negative things about Cicis and that is your prerogative. We love your business but, if you choose not to eat there, I totally understand. What I have a problem with is my husbands character being questioned. DO NOT trash him on FB or anywhere else! He has more morals and character than most people have in their little finger. So to summarize, we would love to see you all at Cicis on Youree Drive, even though some of our policies really are for the bad guys. But DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT talk about my husband. We will have severe problems if this continues.
