I am going to stop concerning myself with wrongs happening to other black Americans. Why? Because it is never going to change anything, and I dont need the extra stress. Why should I care if 6000 black men have been killed on average every year since 1965 by other blacks. Nothing is going to change. What difference does it make if other black people are being targeted by law enforcement? Nothing is going to happen. I have come to the conclusion that my blackness represents a threat or burden to America, but means absolutely NOTHING to other black folks. When the media sensationalizes a transgression or wrong where the victim is black, brothers and sisters vent; in extraordinary cases protest; and in rare cases,riot. But there is rarely action, only reaction. When blacks are the perpetrators and the victims are NOT black, then black folk take the same positon or opinion as the majority. When it is black on black, you wont hear a peep from the media, or black people. And then we just keep it moving like nothing ever happened. Living their individual lives like theyre golden. No organizing around the elimination of the threat to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Just the same old stuff. Black people arent willing to risk their own well being for other blacks. Yet they have so much tosay when the same things happen over and over again. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again expecting a different result. If that is the case, black America is crazy! And I for one dont care anymore. Nothing ever changes, and I dont need the extra stress.
