I have lived a long life and I am proud that I spend the whole of my life in the service of my peop ie, I can say, that every drop of my blood will invigorate India and strengthen it. Last speech of Prime Minister Smt.Indira Gandhi at Bhubeneswar on 30 th October 1984 just a day prior to her assassination on 31st october 1984 at her lawn in New Delhi Last wish of Jawahar Lal Nehru: A handful of my ashes be thrown into the Ganga to be carried to the great ocean that washes India’s shore. The major portion of my ashes should be scattered over the fields where the peasants of India toil, so that it mingle with the dust and soil and become an indistinguishable part of It. And those ashes of a great father and the blood of his great daughter mingled with Indian soil &water the mother India demands back the legacy of Socialism.
