I am humbly sending out this message to the universe in great hopes that it will respond positively to my needs. Dear Philanthropist, My name is Kyle Stewart II, I am 26 years old and I have a progressive eye condition known as karataconis. Ive been dealing with this for some time now. I try not to let it keep me from living a normal life, but over the past 2 years it has progressed, now threatening blindness, also my natural ability to learn and function as I normally would. I have never been one to ask for help, as I dont want anyone to think of me or treat me as a handicapped person, but this has become such an issue that it is now affecting my blossoming career as a music producer, songwriter, and engineer. Earlier this year, I was nominated for three Grammy awards by music that I was a part of on popular projects (Tamar Braxton Love & War for album of the year, Fantasia Barrino Side effects of You for album of the year, and Fantasia Without Me for R&B song of the year). This condition threatens the longevity of my musical career as well as any new endeavors I plan to take on. The one fact that I had to really consider before dropping my pride and reaching out for help, is the fact that this past April, my beautiful daughter Lyla was born. She is now 5 months old, growing fast, and she loves me like no other, with a love Ive never come across before. It disheartens me to know that theres a possibility that I may become enadequate as a provider for her, and furthermore to not be able to interact with her in different areas which is a huge pain to my spirit. This is my very first child and I want to be able to give the best me that I can give her. My family has tried to offer different suggestions as they have been a great support system to me emotionally. I have pretty much tried and done everything suggested, and I come to realize, at the level of this type of condition, there has to be something done to stop it from progressing. I started doing my own research, and came across a very inspiring story about a man named Steven Holcomb (a Bobsledding Gold Medalist) With the same condition which almost led him to an early retirement because of his lack of vision. Thus, a similar story to my own. A doctor by the name of Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler, was able to treat his eyes and restore his vision through developing a procedure now called Holcomb C3r which is a natural, non-invasive, most effective way to treat the condition without having to have an invasive cornea transplant. With this procedure leading him (Holcomb) back to the Olympics to win the Gold medal, they then named the procedure Holcomb-C3r after him. This story gave me much needed hope for my own eyes and life, now positioning me to figure out how to go about pursuing this procedure. Unfortunately, I learned that it was too expensive for what I could afford or even had access to financially at this time. A family member suggested that I reach out to a Philanthropist who I pray, finds my story sincere, and may be in a position to help fund this procedure to help me overcome this great obstacle that I have before me. With great love and appreciation in advance, I say to whoever it is that comes cross this message that is able and willing to help, please help. I cannot handle this alone any longer. Im searching for a miracle. God bless you, God bless us all. Peace and blessings!
