I am in a small predicament with a child I will be doing before school care for. I live on Highway 17 close to the Ultra-mar gas station in Chalk and the school has a stop on Plant Rd already where it picks up 5 children. My problem is, when it starts snowing and the plows are out it will be unsafe for me to walk 1 child let alone the rest of my daycare kids down the highway to Plant Rd. The school has told the mother that I should contact the town and see if they will plow a walking path for me HAHA! I highly doubt that will happen. I will contact them anyways and see, but I am curious if anyone has had this problem previously, or if anyone knows if there are any laws about children at addresses on a Provincial Highway?
