I am just now in the train thats taking me from Bangalore to New Jalpaiguri/Siliguri, a town in my diocese. The last one month I had after returning from US was very hectic....I visited more of my elderly relatives n cousins etc whom I hadnt done before going to US. I also attended various programs in the family like engagement, marriage, bridal shower, cradling, birthdays etc. I feel happy that one great desire that I had to prepare our family tree is done quite a bit.....I have prepared a good base on which now the present generation can build.....I managed to go up to my great-great-grandfather! It was a big job n many in the family are so happy about it. When I began my sabbatical it was the end of harvesting n beginning of coffee blossom and now when I was leaving it was beginning harvest season and also some untimely blossom...... the beautiful odour of blossoms was same both when I reached home and now leaving. Leaving my loving family, affectionate relatives, beautiful mountainous n cool place where our home located and lastly saying goodbye just on the following day of Christmas was quite hard. I completed 36 hours journey n still about 12 hours to go. But the AC train n intermittent internet connectivity helped me spend the travel time most profitably. Probably this is going to be my last long post, I dont think I will get the luxury of time when I begin my work soon as director of social work along with few other responsibilities. Please say a prayer for me.....God bless you all my FB friends.
