I am looking for a picture. EVEN IF IT’S NOT IMPORTANT TO ANYONE ELSE, IT IS TO ME! I have been thinking about this for some time and am hoping I can provide enough information that someone will recall the event without posting anything that might be considered offensive. In the summer of 2000, I attended a wedding where I did not know the couple, and I do not recall their names after all these years. This came about because there was some controversy in the bride’s family over the choice of husband, and her relatives decided to boycott the wedding. The bride consequently invited several co-workers so that all the reception dinners, and I went as the wedding date of one of those co-workers. The wedding was somewhere along Route 611 north of Philadelphia in the Abington - Jenkintown - Glenside area. The official photographer was hired by the groom’s family, and when he became aware of the controversy and boycott, he conspicuously avoided taking pictures of the bride’s guests. One of the bride’s friends had a professional quality digital camera (still a novelty back then) and stepped in to fill the gap. She promised to email me one of her pictures that included me but she never did. Subsequent events have made it more important to obtain this, but due to the fact the only names I know associated with the wedding are no longer among the living, I have not been able to find this woman. I am hoping that (against all odds), someone who reads this will know from my description of the date, location and circumstances which wedding I am speaking of and will be able to connect me with the woman who took the picture.
