I am no fan of Chiranjeevi - the actor turned politician. Personally I think he exhibited political immaturity and his decision to merge with Congress reflected desperation (not necessarily opportunism). However he won my respect yesterday when he humbly accepted the criticism for jumping the queue during voting process. I am told people applauded the person who asked Chiranjeevi to go back. But I also know - many other lesser politicians would not even have bothered to stop and hear the comment. A few others would have become aggressive - and a few others - would have said - any publicity is good - even bad publicity. He did not run away and hide his face. He stood there - I am sure - greatly embarrassed - but smiling - and completed the task. I applaud his strength. On a second thought: May be I am being more forgiving here - for I am a party to same crime. When ever waiting in a queue (or on a road when ever my vehicle is caught behind) - I have done all that I can - to jump the queue...
