I am no longer fostering the kittens as some of you may not know. - TopicsExpress

I am no longer fostering the kittens as some of you may not know. The fires, smoke, major heat wave and my condo with no air conditioning, got to Mama Adriana and her four kittens. I surrendered the five of them to a supervisor and they were immediately transferred to a new foster WITH air conditioning. My supervisor sent me a photo from the new foster for them to put my mind at ease. I fostered them for 3 weeks and two days. Here is their new fosters photo of Mama and Gypsy, Tipsy, Morgan, and Merlin sent to me - made me smile and I no longer felt unhappy able to continue fostering them. Amazingly, the next day, Friday, I was called up as a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) member by 911 to immediately report to a local high school to assist the Red Cross at a shelter. Another amazing flow, I found my gear, my vest, dressed, and arrived at the shelter within 12 minutes of the call-up. This was during the #MayFirestorm. The shelter was shut down two-hours later because Camp Pendleton Marine Base had evacuated their people somewhere else. This was great though, because it was our first activation and we know it worked in the event of an emergency. After the shelter was shut-down, I followed another CERT HAM home and he programmed our new repeater frequency into my HAM radio so I can participate in the weekly Sunday night drills. I had not been participating in the HAM Sunday night drills for a very long time. Saturday morning, the next day, I attended the CERT HAM monthly meeting which I also had not attended in a very long time. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 was my birthday, Thursday, May 15, 2014 was surrender Mama and the kittens to another foster who had air conditioning. Friday, May 16, 2014 was the CERT activation for the American Red Cross shelter, Saturday, May 17, 2014 was the monthly CERT HAM meeting. The first photo is from the next foster, the second photograph which I took from my condo is of the #TomahawkFire on Camp Pendleton which caused the CERT activation to assist ARC at a shelter. The third photograph is of the temporary American Red Cross Shelter and the CERT members who responded to the activation reloading some of the supplies after the shelter was shut down. It all taught me to trust in the flow - there was no conflict, only GO!
