I am no stranger to racial injustice in America, I have definitely - TopicsExpress

I am no stranger to racial injustice in America, I have definitely had my fair share growing up and unfortunately that will probably continue for as long as I live.... as if I have this permanent debt to society and it is my dark skin and course hair to blame..... BUT while is post is partially true I cant help but see a big major flaw.... This protest wasnt just peaceful... Ferguson had an optimal opportunity to show the world who they really were and at the most critical time the actions of a few completely took away from what should have been a peaceful protest... Instead this turned into a crowd of arsonist, thieves and just an all around bad situation. They only helped to perpetuate the stereotype and thus opened the door to the latter, even for those who truly did nothing wrong. I mean if we are saying that an innocent young black man was killed and did nothing wrong, what is supposed to happen when people loot, set fires and riot? There does need to be a change with racial discrimination but we need to hold those looters and arsonist accountable for their actions... Pretending we did nothing wrong will not fix the situation... ACCOUNTABILITY is key and this moment was tarnished by a greedy few... Regardless of the circumstances a young man is dead and we have scum living amongst us who felt it the perfect time to take advantage of an already intense and tragic situation... I want justice for everyone
