I am not a teacher. I cant identify with their particular hardship when trying to control an unruly 5 or 6 students within a class of 26. I will, however, not stand for my child being repeatedly stripped of her recess when shes not the one causing the disruption -- especially considering how smart she is and how much she contributes. I have interrogated her fully on this matter and she can tell me nothing shes done wrong. Her teacher has taken away 5 recesses in the past week, yet 2 students were given a recess on Monday, which Sarah says was for participation. She also says she was raising her hand but the teacher couldnt see her for the two kids in front of her raising their hands. The teacher admits Sarah hasnt done anything wrong and says CCSDs rule is that she cannot tie individual student behavior to recess. So how did these two students get recess and she did not?? (Pissed!)
