I am not doing the every day thankful thing... but after talking to John about what kind of man my father was, I wanted to post this. I wanted to say that I am thankful for having a father and mother that did everything they could to make sure my sister and I grew up with a happy childhood with lots of good memories. We werent rich by any means but we were together, even being a military family that is hard even today. I am thankful for a father who showed me what a real man is supposed to be. A real man takes care of his family and does everything to make sure they are taken care of first. Even when my dad passed away he made sure my mom would be taken care of even after he was gone. My father is the one responsible for setting the high standards for men in my sister and myself. Its true though, girls grow up wanting to marry men like their father.
