I am not into materialism for the sake of having new things. I have no one to impress. Having things doesnt make me a better person nor does the lack of them make me worse. Its like they say when someone is on their death bed .... no one ever wishes theyd spent more time at work. I doubt anyone really regrets not having the latest designer hand bag then either. As Ive gotten older and begun to focus more on whats really important to me, I know Ive changed my views from when I was younger. A car is simply a method of transportation. A purse is something I carry all my junk around in .... lol. Ok, so I need to clean out my purse. What really matters to me is spending time with those I love. I also love reading & learning. I love listening to music which moves me & inspires me. I love the sense of peace I feel when sitting in a quiet church. I love staring at the sky ... the clouds as they float by during the day & the stars which hold mysteries beyond my imagination at night. I love the sound of laughter. I could list many more but Ill spare you all. All these things I love have absolutely nothing to do with material possessions though. Those materialistic people dont know what theyre missing....
