I am not one that likes long posts but I cant help but share a heart thought: how many parents take your child to the doctor for an immunization and walk away without getting the shot because your child wasnt sure he wanted to go in? How many parents sign their child up for preschool or rec sports and decide after two days that they would keep them home because the child didnt want to go or cried? Rarely if ever have I read of stories like this. Why? Because parents know that shots need to be given, and children could benefit by socializing. However, the most important thing a parent can do for their child is expose them to opportunities where they can learn about Jesus and yet they often say, he wont go or she doesnt like it. My heart hurts for the many boys and girls in Centralia whose parents are making sure that they are learning how to dribble a basketball at 5; yet, are not making that same effort to introduce them to Jesus. Let me encourage you to take your child to a Sunday School class or Childrens Worship service at a local church and give it a try.
