I am old enough to have been eligible to be drafted for service during the Vietnam Conflict (dont kid yourselves it was a war). I was one of the lucky few whose numbers didnt come up by virtue of my birthdate (thanks mom and dad). But I remember very well the way we/they treated the returning veterans (we called them babykillers and worse). Trust me no one wanted to go to fight. These days there are those whose only crime is that they are prepared to face death to help others (healthcare workers and volunteers) who surely must be frightened at what they are doing, but do it anyway because this is their calling. I am ashamed at those of you who demand we lock these people up in quarantine for the safety of the rest of us. You deserve no safety nor comfort. These brave souls who face death would not knowingly bring back ebola and they are trained to recognize the symptoms and are well aware of how this disease is spread.
