I am on a spiritual journey, a sabbatical, but I simply had to - TopicsExpress

I am on a spiritual journey, a sabbatical, but I simply had to respond to this question posed to me by one of my sons not born of my womb. He expressed concern that I had at one time or another referred to a group of people as “dutty”. And his friends have been taking him ot task about it and it shames him. Everyone knows I am a devout Christian over and above anything else I may happen to be, thereby their concern. He has a need to understand why of late I have been talking politics. I decided to post my modified response here. Thank you Sean Silvera for reminding me what is important. …..”So Christians dont have the right to choose who they want to vote for Hon?... My first and only vote has always been cast for Jesus, never another. But i have a deep national concern and burden, and what I know I can never publish because it is going to be damaging to the image of my country which has embarked on a positive track. That is exercising good and responsible journalism savvy. I will never give my support to anything or anyone I feel is operating contrary to that. I have a dias to attempt to curtail that possibility and i will use it as much as I think is necessary. Old people always say “It is not everything good to eat good to talk. “ Yes, if as you say Portia is not be the brightest cookie in the bunch, at least her heart is in the right place. She wants and seeks good for her people and she has a good team behind her. Some derelicts too but that will eventually be addressed. Dont think i dont know their faults too. But the other side outweighs them in terms of anything negative, corrupt and subversive. If they ever come to power any time soon, it is going to take us till God come to get out of that hole that they are going drop us in. They plan to sell us out for personal gain. The IMF was a last resort for us. They couldnt hack it with the IMF because of their oft proven trustworthiness. They knew it was our only way out. Thats why they are still trying to cozy up with them. And thats why juvenile Andrew went like a crybaby to get them mixed up in internal affairs. THEY ARE A LOAN INSTITUTION! They are not a government over us. Their job is to make a good investment and ensure that they get the expected returns on their investment. Simply, a financial institution. I put this question to you. If the Parish Council of St Mary borrowed money on behalf of the people from the Bank of Jamaica and then a scandal involving the Parish Council erupted, can BOJ go and beat the PC over the head? I think not. As long as they are faithful to their loan payments, who cares? Apply the same principle here. For this moron to do what he did could only have one objective, and that is to discourage global investors etc who are now looking at us favorably. Destabilization! Does that sound like someone who loves his country and wants it to go forward or is it just the petulant and despicably subversive act, a last ditch effort of someone desperate for power? He is not even fit to govern a household, much less a nation of strong willed Jamaicans. I shudder at the thought that this man will ever get the chance to even sit in Gordon House again, much less hold the reins of power over us. And there is nothing unchristian about all this. I don’t believe in telling lies to cover a sin, not even for myself so i won’t be doing it for any politician. Rest assured of that Mistakes will be made in any young government but it is how we rise above it, learn from it and go on that counts. Therein is really a chief measure in determining whether any government is good or inadequate. Maybe one day the JLP will come up with someone who has a heart more of flesh than of stone…. more godly, and wise. Until then, this PM is it..
