I am optimistic and looking forward to the changes that will be happening over the next few years in regards to downtown core revitalization in the City of Portage la Prairie, as well as bridge and lake restoration and enhancement. Portage will make it to places far beyond the Manitoba Tourism Brochure; our city will be known as, and/or continue to be known as, a unique Canadian icon for leisure and recreation, arts and culture, vibrancy, scenery, safety, work and business, education, environmental initiatives, friendly citizens, and overall standard of living among many other things! We have a great and open-minded Mayor and Council, in addition to a bright bunch of city representatives that will do their best to work with many stakeholders over the next while to improve Portage la Prairies infrastructure ONE STEP AT A TIME! I am so proud of our progressive city, its diligent government and affiliates, and its positive, forward-thinking citizens! This is THE City of Possibilities, and as a member of the Portage la Prairie Tourism Advisory Committee walking out of a City Hall meeting this afternoon, I am proud and confident to announce great transformation will occur very very soon! Visit saskave for live plans and updates on the downtown revitalization and be sure to voice your visions and views (either your accordance or disagreement) on different matters and topics in a discussion forum / blog format. YOU can give your input (any feedback is highly appreciated) to influence change in YOUR community!
