I am proud to have been nominated by Janice Schoultz Mudd and Wendy Walsh to participate in the Five Day Art Challenge. For each of five days, I will post some images of my work, and nominate another artist to participate. So here goes! Bead making is a mesmerizing, almost hypnotic activity. There is a rhythm to it. Heat, cool. Into the fire, then out. Turn the piece and then pause. When the glass is hot, it glows. When it cools, it darkens and begins to take on its actual color. But the true colors of the piece dont appear until the glass is completely cooled. Its always exciting and something of a surprise to see the newly finished pieces coming out of the kiln. Today Id like to nominate Julie Bell to carry this challenge forward.
