I am quite fascinated by religions, the origins of religion, the psychology and politics behind them, but particularly the migration of religions. The Ethiopians celebrate christmas on what is believed to be the actual birth date of Christ, the 7th of January and not 25 December as earmarked by the church for the new christian calendar when the religion of chtistianity was established. Bearing in mind that Jesus and his family are purported to have been Jewish, the wealth of artifacts discovered by archeologists, relics from ancient temples and churches, sculptures of the black madonna and child and the stories of intellectual property taken from Ethiopia by and for the vatican...I have to wonder if the religions of Judeasim and Christianity do not have their origin in Ethiopia. There is even a town in Ethiopia called Nazareth! Fascinating, the stories behind religions...and even more exciting to be living in a time where so many stories hidden over thousands of years are dug up daily by the modern day story tellers. Researchers, documentary makers, archeologists, historians, artists who bravely connect the dots and unlock the secrets, buried over time.
