I am reaching out to you personally to ask a favor. The favor...make your pledge to the 2013 United Way campaign. If you have already...Thank You! If not, it is not too late. This year the campaign is turning out to be one of United Way’s most challenging. Overall, the entire campaign is approximately 47.6% of goal with only a week left to get there. I can personally attest to the fact that all the United Way partner agencies provide such critical services to those in need every day. You may not know it but our agency, AFL-CIO Community Services; existence depends on United Way dollars. If United Way does not make goal I dread to think how that will affect our agency as well as the eighteen other. Thousands and thousands of people in Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas could possibly also feel the effects. So, if AFL-CIO Community Services has assisted you, your family member, neighbor or friend in any way please help us to continue to help by giving to United Way. The victory dinner is Thursday, November 7 so you still have some time to contribute. I ask you to consider doing so immediately. While on the website, take some time to click on campaign and then campaign resources and then videos. You will be able to view personal stories of people helped by United Way.
